The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Assistant Agency for Supply and Contracts, announced that more than 20 million prescriptions were dispensed electronically through ‘Wasfaty’ Service since it was launched. Through the service, beneficiaries can get their medication free of charge from community pharmacies throughout the day. Over 5 million patients have benefited from the service since its launch, through 2,018 healthcare centers and 197 hospitals across the Kingdom.
It pointed out that the ‘Wasfaty’ Service aims to facilitate medication refilling for the beneficiaries via an electronic prescription, enabling them to use the services around the clock and from the accredited community pharmacies.
Noteworthy, MOH has launched a number of quality service programs to develop work mechanisms and to boost performance. This will in turn help improve health services provided to citizens and secure their satisfaction.
