05 December 2021

The 3rd Health Volunteering Forum concluded its activities today in Riyadh. The gathering was organized by MOH’s Health Volunteering Center under the title: “Health Volunteering, Present and Future”.

The forum has targeted influential groups in the health fields (individuals and establishments), female and male volunteers and health professionals. Its main objectives include enriching knowledge, raising the awareness of health volunteering in community, displaying and honoring health-volunteering efforts, reviewing international and local experiences in health volunteering, as well as transferring and exchanging expertise in the volunteering field.

The forum also discussed three main topics, the status of health volunteering in the Kingdom, the challenges it faces and ways to overcome them and the future of health volunteering.

A number of experts presented working papers on the concept and culture of health volunteering, reviewed the outcomes of a comprehensive survey on health volunteering in the kingdom, in addition to volunteering disaster and crisis management and the impact of financial sustainability on health volunteering.

At the end, the forum honored winners of 2021 Minster of Health Volunteer Awards in its 3rd edition, which aims to support and motivate volunteer works and highlight their fruitful efforts through three branches.
