MOH Continues Activating Medication Home Delivery Service
25 October 2021
Page Content
The Ministry of Health (MOH) continues activating the Medication Home Delivery Service under the theme “#Medicine to your doorstep”, with the aim of delivering medications to patients’ homes through temperature-controlled shipping containers designed for the transport of pharmaceutical products to save patients the burden of visiting hospitals or healthcare centers to receive their medicines.
It pointed out that the beneficiaries of this service include home care patients, disability patients, chronic disease patients, virtual clinic patients, immunodeficiency patients, cancer patients, psychiatric patients and elderly patients.
It is worth mentioning that MOH has recently signed an agreement with the Saudi Post to deliver medicines prescribed by MOH’s hospitals and healthcare centers to patients’ homes. The agreement aims to gradually cover about 284 hospitals and healthcare centers across the Kingdom, and to deliver the prescriptions to their homes.
