The Ministry of Health (MOH) has celebrated the World Sight Day, and held today (Thursday) at its headquarters an awareness event, which was organized by the National Eye Health and Blindness Program and in collaboration with Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Abdulaziz Humanitarian Foundation. During the event, eye examination and eye pressure measurement was performed for visitors. In addition, they were educated on the importance of preserving their sight, reducing the prevalence of eyes diseases causing visual impairment, as well as treatment and prevention methods.
It is noteworthy that MOH has made available eye examination at primary healthcare centers, all hospitals and medical cities, King Khaled Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Eye Hospital in Jeddah, Eye Hospital in Dhahran, as well as referring patients to specialist hospitals from any public or private hospital.
