King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Taif has received the accreditation of the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This international award aims at highlighting the role of nursing in the health sector and honoring the efforts exerted by nurses at their different locations (ICU rooms, inpatient sections, clinics, emergencies, kidney dialysis, recovery rooms, and operating rooms), to alleviate the suffering of patients and to provide them with excellent care. This accreditation will achieve a host of objectives to promote the level of performance and strengthen the nursing sector, by supporting nurses and motivating them to exert more efforts in order to meet their needs and upgrade the nursing profession.
It is to be noted that the Daisy Award is a program that rewards nurses for their unique clinical skills and excellent care provided by them on a daily basis.
It is noteworthy that the hospital features 550 inpatient beds, 40 emergency beds, and 20 ICU beds, Also, it has 3 specialized centers, namely: diabetes center, eye center, and oncology center, in addition to the cardiac surgery department, which was recently inaugurated.
