SCFHS Renews Accreditation of Critical Care Nursing Program at MOH’s Hospital
16 September 2021

The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), for the second consecutive time, has accredited the Critical Care Nursing Qualification Program at MOH’s hospitals. The program aims to qualify 4,000 Saudi nurses to work in critical care departments by enrolling them in an intensive training program for 9 months.

In its first track, the program targets the newly hired who have completed the guidance and orientation program. The second track targets the Saudi nurses working in certain departments such as internal, surgery, outpatient departments, and primary healthcare centers to qualify them for the critical care departments and to achieve Saudization rates in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

The program provides the trainees with the necessary professional skills and expertise that enable them to work in critical care departments in order to ensure the provision of safe and high-quality nursing services in critical specialties such as intensive care (adults, children, and newborns) and emergency departments as well as dialysis units, heart centers, and oncology centers.
