The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reiterated the importance of taking the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine as the only way to protect the body against the virus variants and increase immunity. Immunity gets activated after the first dose of the vaccine. Taking the vaccine is also essential for community immunity
According to MOH's latest statistics, 174 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Kingdom over the past 24 hours; thus bringing the total number to 544,985 confirmed cases, including 2,788 active cases and 803 critical cases.
In addition, 202 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 533,632 recoveries. Also, 5 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 8,565, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them.
MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
