The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reiterated the importance of taking the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as the only way to confronting mutants and raising the level of immunity after the first dose. It is important to achieve herd immunity.
According to MOH's latest statistics, 221 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Kingdom over the past 24 hours; thus bringing the total number to 544,225 confirmed cases, including 3,174 active cases and 927 critical cases.
In addition, 386 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 532,512 recoveries. Also, 7 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 8,539, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them.
