The Development and Behavioral Disorder Center of the Maternity and Children Hospital- Bisha has provided its services to 900 beneficiaries during the first half of this year, according to Bisha Health Affairs.
It pointed out that 93 patients were served at the physical therapy department, 198 at the mental clinic, 182 at the occupational therapy,111 at the psychiatric clinic and 316 at the speech clinic.
It added that the center aims at providing high-quality services of diagnosing and following up the developmental and behavioral disorders, and psychiatric and social services. Also, specialized health and rehabilitation services are provided at the center by qualified and skilled staff, including consultants, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop children's growth and skills. The services provided by the center include diagnosis and evaluation, early intervention program, medical rehabilitation for cases with developmental and behavioral disorders, family-centered treatment (FCT) programs, long-term medical follow-up, and community contribution in awareness and education programs.
