13 July 2021

The Health Volunteer Center at MOH is participating in helping health practitioners serve pilgrims during this year's Hajj season. 500 health volunteers of different health specialties are participating, in partnership with the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance. Volunteers will provide curative and preventive health services in several different locations, including: the Grand Mosques (Al-Masjid Al-Haram), pilgrim-sorting areas, miqats, and airports. Moreover, these volunteers will take part in an accredited training program by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

This participation is a continuation of the efforts made by the health volunteers to serve pilgrims during the holy month of Ramadan this year. The number of beneficiaries of their services exceeded 2 million.

Noteworthy, the Health Volunteer Center at MOH was established in 2019 as one of the initiatives of community participation programs, within the framework of the Ministry’s National Transformation Program. It aims to manage and organize health volunteering in the Kingdom.
