Gatherings Fuel COVID-19 Surge, 1,318 New Cases Recorded, MOH Says

​The Ministry of Health (MOH) has underscored that a record-breaking surge in COVID-19 cases is being driven to a significant degree by social gatherings. Hence, MOH has advised everyone to adhere to precautionary measures, including maintaining social distancing and wearing a face mask; to stop the spread of the virus.


According to MOH's latest statistics, 1,318 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported over the past 24 hours in the Kingdom; thus bringing the total number to 484,539 confirmed cases, including 11,204 active cases and 1,438 critical cases.

In addition, 1,290 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 465,546 recoveries. Also, 14 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 7,789, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. 

MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
