According to Al-Ahsa Health Cluster, the Maternity and Children Hospital- Al-Ahsa has introduced a flow cytometry device.
The device is used to diagnose leukemia and lymphoma and to follow up AIDS patients, and a number of platelet diseases. It will contribute to raising the efficiency and quality of the provided services, and saving hospitals the efforts of transporting samples outside the governorate for examination, it added.
The state-of-the-art device is reckoned a qualitative leap for the flow cytometry unit. It produces results with high speed and accuracy, under the supervision of well-trained hematologists and laboratory specialists.
