MOH: Social Gatherings Are Fueling COVID-19 Surge as Daily Cases Reached 1,286

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has emphasized that the COVID-19 infection increases and spreads rapidly during social gatherings and advised everyone to adhere to preventive measures including maintaining social distancing and wearing a face mask to contain the spread of the virus.

According to MOH's latest statistics, 1,286 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Kingdom over the past 24 hours; thus bringing the total number to 462,528 confirmed cases, including 10,217 active cases and 1,553 critical cases.

In addition, 982 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 444,792 recoveries. Also, 16 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 7,519, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. Moreover, 92,227 new Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the Kingdom's laboratories.

MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
