According to Jazan Health Affairs, the virtual clinics (telemedicine services) of hospitals and primary health care centers (PHCS) in Jazan have served 14,028 beneficiaries. This virtual clinic initiative comes as part of the efforts and precautionary measures taken by the Affairs to stop the spread of COVID-19.
“These telemedicine services are provided by 615 physicians from MOH’s hospitals and 44 PHCs in 66 medical specialties, including surgical, internal, cardiology, ophthalmology, oncology, in addition to other specialties,” stated the Affairs.
It is noted that these virtual clinics (telemedicine services) enable patients to receive medical care via «Sehhaty» App., facilitate access to various health services, and enable beneficiaries to remotely obtain an integrated health services, whether for follow-up, or for new appointments; thus reducing the rate of patients’ visits to hospitals and healthcare centers for non-emergency cases. This will contribute to stopping the spread of COVID-19 infection, as well as increasing the patient satisfaction by saving the effort and time required to obtain the health services.
