MOH: COVID-19 Cases Spike Caused by Gatherings and Non-Compliance with Precautions

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has attributed the recent spike in COVID-19 infections to gatherings and non-compliance with precautionary measures, highlighting the importance of adherence to such measures, including wearing face-masks, maintaining physical distancing, sanitizing hands, and avoiding shaking hands to stop the spread of the virus for the health and safety of all people.

According to MOH's latest statistics, 948 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Kingdom; thus bringing the total number to 404,054 confirmed cases, including 9,449 active cases and 1,018 critical cases.

In addition, 775 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 387,795 recoveries. Also, 9 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 6,810, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. 

MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
