The Ministry of Health (MOH) has designated 111 consulting clinics at its various hospitals to provide medication education services during the holy month of Ramadan. Patients’ repeated questions about drug intake during Ramadan will be answered, their effect on fasting patient's body and how to take them for the sake of patient safety and to prevent any relapses
In addition to answering questions, pharmacists will distribute a guide that includes awareness instructions on using medicines during Ramadan, places of counseling clinics, general tips for hypertension patients, making the best use of medications, and the best ways to use insulin for persons with diabetes. It will also include drugs to lower sugar, insulin injection, general tips for endocrine drugs and asthma patients, and types of asthma inhalers.
