22 February 2021

Al-Jouf Health Affairs has designated 6 mental clinics at its hospitals with the aim of raising mental health awareness among community members and providing them with mental and social services particularly for those with common mental illnesses such as depression, sleep disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The step comes as part of its effort to serving patients and relieving pressure on the mental health hospitals by receiving and providing medical and mental health services to them.

According to the Affairs, these clinics are available at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital, Prince Muteb bin Abdulaziz Hospital- Sakaka, Maternity and Children Hospital- Sakaka, Tabarjal General Hospital, Dumat Al-Jandal Hospital and Suwair General Hospital. The service is available for referrals from the primary healthcare centers by booking an appointment on Mawid app. Such a step comes in implementation of the mental health program through a well-trained team to deal with such cases without the need to visit the mental health hospital.
