MOH: COVID-19 Vaccines Are Available in all Regions of the Kingdom

The Ministry of Health spokesman, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali, said that the COVID-19 vaccines are available across the Kingdom, pointing out that the curve of infections is passing through a sensitive and important phase that should be watched with greater caution and vigilance. He said that we are still reporting an increase in the number of infections, stressing that vaccination and compliance with the instructions are two important factors to overcome the pandemic.

“Those who have taken the vaccine must continue implementing the precautionary measures because their immunity takes some time to reach the higher level”, he said, pointing out that 541,411 people have already received the vaccine. 

According to Al-Abdulaali, 315 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Kingdom, bringing the total number to 375,006 confirmed cases, including 2,452 active cases, receiving the necessary medical care. Of these, there are 508 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

During the press briefing he held today (Sunday), the spokesman mentioned that 349 cases have recovered, bringing the number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 366,094 cases. Besides, 4 new deaths were reported, bringing the total COVID-19 deaths to 6,461.

He pointed out that the health services are still provided through all centers and facilities of MOH. «Taakkad» centers have conducted 7,383,372 Molecular Diagnostic Tests «Swab Tests»​, and «Tetamman» clinics have provided their services to 1,988,318 outpatients. They have also provided health and medical consultations to 27,811,408 beneficiaries through the (937) center. Furthermore, the total number of lab tests in the Kingdom has reached 13, 332,326.
