MOH: 300,000 People Received COVID-19 Vaccine without Side Effects

​The Assistant Minister of Health and MOH spokesman, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali, said that almost 300,000 persons have received the COVID-19 vaccine, affirming that the vaccine is the key and effective weapon that will make us healthy.​

He said that citizens and residents with a valid national identity number or residence permit number are eligible to receive the vaccine through the “Sehaty” app, noting that no side effects of the vaccine have been detected so far.

 “The indicators of recording confirmed cases, recoveries and critical cases in the Kingdom are declining,” Al-Abdulaali said. 

The spokesman revealed that 176 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom; thus bringing the total number to 364,929 confirmed cases, including 1,919 active cases, receiving the necessary medical care. Of these, there are 319 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

During a press conference he held today (Sunday), he said 146 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 356,687 cases, all praise is due to Allah. Also, 5 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 6,323, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them.

The health services are still provided through all MOH’s facilities, with 6,393,560 Molecular Diagnostic Tests «Swab Tests» at Make Sure «Taakkad» Centers, 1,820,930 patients were served at Rest Assured «Tetamman» Clinics, in addition to offering medical consultations via 937-Service Center to 26,026,390 beneficiaries and the total number of lab tests amounted to 11,668,932, he added.
