According to Al-Baha Health Affairs, the Regional Laboratory in Al-Baha has conducted 3,834,544 laboratory tests, including 28,667 tests for COVID-19, during the past year 2020, noting that 7,809 persons have donated their blood, with 45 blood units. Also, a new blood donation vehicle has been provided.
It is to be noted that the Laboratory Department, Blood Bank, and the Regional Laboratory in Al-Baha have obtained accreditation of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), after meeting the accreditation standards of quality and all other requirements. Three laboratory development projects were carried out at each of King Fahad Hospital, Prince Mishari Hospital in Baljurashi, and Al-Makhwah General Hospital.
