Governor of the Eastern Region, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, and his Deputy Prince Ahmed bin Fahad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, today (Monday), marking the launch of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the region.
It is to be noted that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched a COVID-19 vaccine center at the International Exhibition Center in Dhahran.
MOH has called on citizens and residents to take the initiative and register for the vaccine in order to maintain their health and safety and to protect them from being infected with the virus. It reiterated that the vaccine is free for all citizens and residents in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership. It confirmed the safety and efficacy of the vaccine after passing all testing stages, which resulted in strong immune response and continuous antibodies.
According to MOH, Dhahran International Exhibition Center has been designed to receive large numbers of people in an organized way through 84 clinics managed by specialist medical staff. It is the third inoculation facility across the Kingdom after Riyadh and Jeddah.
