 3,000+ Home Visits Conducted to 3,081 Patients by Madinah Health Affairs

​​​According to Madinah Health Affairs, over the last November, 3,529 visits were paid to 3,081 patients enrolled in the home healthcare program. Also, 3,081 visits were paid to deliver medications and other supplies to their homes. The program, which employs 253 persons, is implemented in 14 hospitals.

It is noteworthy that MOH provides the home medicine program services through qualified medical teams at several hospitals and medical cities across the Kingdom. The services are provided to patients with the engagement of their families as per approved standards.

Moreover, the health services provided by the home medicine program include comprehensive medical and nursing care, following-up bed-ridden patients and the elderly and their chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory problems, injury care, bedsore, tubes, catheters, intravenous therapy, palliative care, and care for patients with psychiatric and neurological diseases, in addition to providing physical therapy service, respiratory therapy, clinical nutrition, and social services. The other main services include health education for patients and their families. They are not restricted to health, psychological and social services only. They also include the provision of medical supplies and devices and medicines needed by the patients.
