47 Successful Surgeries Conducted at Prince Mutaib Hospital in Sakaka
06 December 2020

A specialized medical and surgical team at Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital in the city of Sakaka has managed to successfully perform 47 qualitative surgeries at the hospital’s Joint and Endoscope Unit, in the past three months. After their surgeries, patients have left the hospital to continue their physical therapy and rehabilitation after the recovery period recommended by their doctors.

Al-Jawf Health Affairs stated that these surgeries included arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament repair, arthroscopic knee meniscus repair, shoulder surgeries, quadriceps tendon repair, recurrent endoscopic dislocations, complex pelvic fractures, and knee joint replacements. All cases sent to “Ehalaty” (referral) system from surrounding regions were accepted. They involved sports and joint injuries.

Laparoscopy is one of the modern technologies that contribute to reducing the suffering of patients. It helps increase production efficiency and reduces the disruption resulting from patients’ recovery period, as most patients can go back to work soon after their surgeries.  These achievements are the results of the joint cooperation between Al-Jawf Health Affairs and Al-Jawf University represented by the College of Medicine.
