H.E. the Health Minister, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah will inaugurate tomorrow (Sunday) the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and Exhibition 2020. The conference is organized by MOH, Saudi Health Council (SHC), and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS), under the theme: “Transforming Health and Care Together: From Vision to Reality”.
The conference, to be held online, will discuss current challenges, visions, and ideas about future plans and potential solutions in the field of healthcare at regional and international levels. It will also discuss the latest developments in health information technology and how to benefit from them, highlighting the vital role of e-health and its contribution to providing the highest quality of health care for all beneficiaries.
The conference will also review creating digital workplace, as well as other topics, most notably: driving innovation and new business models, extending health and care beyond hospital walls, harnessing the power of data and enabling smarter health systems and lessons learned from COVID-19. Participants will be granted HIMSS free membership for one year. The conference is accredited with 21 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hour.
