Al-Jouf Health Affairs said that the number of beneficiaries of the services of the Prosthetics Section of the Medical Rehabilitation Department at Prince Mutaib Hospital in Sakaka reached 1746 this year. The number of beneficiaries of prosthetics and splints service reached 76.
The section provides comprehensive care for patients who have lost an upper or lower limb. It also allows them to use prosthetic limbs and receive treatment means and plans depending on the patient's condition, with the aim of reducing disability and mobility impairment. The section also works to enable patients to carry out their daily activities with ease.
In addition, it helps reform deformities resulting from injuries and congenital anomalies. It also educates patients about the need to wear prosthetic devices such as: Back belt, knee compression stockings, and more. The section receives patients from all hospitals in the Al-Jawf region.
