Al-Baha: 1,000+ Beneficiaries Served by Developmental and Behavioral Disorder Center

The Development and Behavioral Disorder Center of Eradah Complex for Mental Health in Al-Baha has provided its services to 1,011 beneficiaries during this year. The center aims at providing high-quality services of diagnosing and following up the developmental and behavioral disorders, in addition to psychiatric and social services. Also, specialized health and rehabilitation services are provided at the center by qualified and skilled staff, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other specialists to develop children's growth and skills.

The services provided by the center include diagnosis and evaluation, early intervention program, medical rehabilitation for cases with developmental and behavioral disorders, family-centered treatment (FCT) programs, long-term medical follow-up and community contribution in awareness and education programs. The center also launched the virtual clinic to curb the spread of the Novel Coronavirus and ensure the stability of patients’ health status. In addition to the virtual clinic, the center used the phone and other social media to communicate with patients and to follow-up the health and psychological status of each case, and refilling their medications.
