The Ministry of Health (MOH) has highlighted the regular eye exam provided by its eye specialist hospitals (King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Eye Hospital in Jeddah, and Eye Hospital in Dhahran), as well as the eye clinics at the primary healthcare centers and all hospitals and medical cities.
Through an awareness infographic posted on its Twitter’s account and its awareness platform “Live Well”, MOH stated that the tests include: (color blindness test, stratification of the cornea, dehydration test, vision examination, fundoscopy, optical imaging, imaging of the fundus after fluorescein injection, eye pressure, staining the eye with fluorescein, examination of the field of vision, and imaging Fundus after ICG injection, and indocyanine green angiography).
It indicated that the referral to the specialized hospitals is made through any government or private hospital with an ophthalmologist, with the latest medical report.
