In parallel with the World Sight Day 2020, observed this year under the theme «Hope in Sight», Makkah Health Affairs has celebrated this event to increase awareness among community members on vision problems and causes of blindness.
It is worth mentioning that the Affairs has organized many activities through the electronic awareness platforms of Makkah hospitals, using a number of cutting-edge technologies in videos, infographics, social media, in addition to a live broadcast with eye consultants via MOH’s Instagram account.
These events aims to talk about the importance of early detection for eye safety and protection. It is noted that 20 cataract surgeries have been performed at Al-Noor Specialist Hospital during this event.
