MOH Records 472 New COVID-19 Cases, Reiterates Importance of Precautions

​​The Ministry of health (MOH) has underlined the importance of commitment to​ precautionary measures, calling for everyone to keep physical distancing, avoid handshakes, in addition to all other precautionary​ measures; to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and to maintain their health and safety. ​


MOH has announced today (Thursday) that 472 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom; thus bringing the total number to 341,062 confirmed cases, including 8,608 active cases, receiving the necessary medical care. Of these, there are 829 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. In addition, 507 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 327,327 cases, all praise is due to Allah. Also, 19 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 5,127, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. Moreover, 52,966 new Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the Kingdom's laboratories.

MOH has reiterated that anyone, who has symptoms or wants an assessment, can use the self-assessment service on «Mawid» app or visit «Tetamman» Clinics, which have been devoted by MOH to serving those who show COVID-19 symptoms. Those, who have questions, can also inquire or seek advice by calling the 937-Service Center, available 24/7. The Center is now made closer to everyone than ever. The public can also benefit from its interactive services through WhatsApp app. on the number 920005937. They can have access to health information and updates on COVID-19. The service also provides users with information on blood donation and primary health care centers (PHCs). Besides, it enables them to reserve appointments.
