In parallel with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month (the Pink Month) observed every October, the Health Cluster in Al-Qassim has launched an awareness campaign on the importance of breast cancer early detection. The campaign will be implemented in more than 400 sites, including hospitals, healthcare centers, squares, public and private agencies throughout the region.
“Medical teams have been formed to educate women in society about the importance of breast cancer early detection, and to provide health education through a number of awareness workshops such as: mammogram, nutrition, sports, and breast self-examination, which are presented by a number of specialists,” stated the Health Cluster.
The Health Cluster added that the campaign has considered the involvement of all parties that witness attendance of target groups, in addition to developing an electronic platform for registration of target women; to communicate with them through medical teams.
