King Faisal Hospital- Makkah has launched “Know your medication” initiative with the aim of educating patients on medicines dispensed to them and providing them and their families with complete information using the barcode on the drug container. Also, the initiative enables patients and their families to get answer to their inquiries by scanning the barcode, which displays all information the patient may need in Arabic language.
It is noteworthy that the barcode displays short audio-visual clips introducing the medication, method of use and doses.
