The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Nutrition General Department has launched initiatives to improve patient meals by means of conducting surveys in order to boost the satisfaction of the beneficiaries and provide meals in a distinct and appropriate manner to achieve MOH’s objectives.
According to MOH, these meals are prepared in accordance with the nutritional standards and health requirements under the supervision of 1,800 highly qualified and experienced nutrition specialists and technicians. Around 8,000 workers are being trained to handling food safety and implementing the health requirements to ensure the safety of food provided to beneficiaries according to the highest food quality and safety standards. It pointed out that the hospital’s kitchens are equipped with surveillance cameras to monitor food preparations and the quality and safety of meals provided for patients and other beneficiaries.
