MOH: People with Chronic Diseases and Obesity Are at High Risk for COVID-19

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), people with chronic diseases and obesity are among the groups most affected by complications of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Through an awareness infographic published on its Twitter page, MOH has pointed out that the most prominent chronic diseases include diabetes, cancer, heart diseases, hypertension, kidney diseases, and bronchial asthma, and asthma.

Furthermore, MOH has provided a number of preventive health guidelines to be followed by those people with chronic diseases. These guidelines include washing or sterilizing hands constantly, continuing with patient treatment plan, keeping appointments, and wearing face masks. Also, MOH has advised obese people to follow a healthy balanced diet, exercise regularly, wear face masks, and wash or sterilize hands constantly, highlighting the importance of downloading the E-Health «Seha» App. and consulting a physician when needed.
