In the presence of the Director General of Makkah Health Affairs, Dr. Wael Mutair, the Affairs has launched the new technical services building of the Forensic Medicine Center. The center features a number of departments and services, including an embalming section for the first time in Makkah. The service will be provided to beneficiaries who want to bury their diseased relatives outside the Kingdom. The Forensic Medicine Center is enhanced with specialize Saudi team.
According to the Affairs, the center is about to obtain institutional accreditation form the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) in preparation for receiving trainees of the Saudi board program in forensic medicine. The preparations include a lecture room, e-library and offices for trainees.
