According to Najran Health Affairs, since the beginning of this year, 19,515 visits were paid to 1,166 patients enrolled in the home healthcare program. The number of patients recently enrolled in the program amounted to 320. They benefited from the provided services through 8 hospitals, namely: King Khaled Hospital, Najran General Hospital, Maternity and Children hospital, Sharourah General Hospital, Hubuna General Hospital, Badr Al-Janoub General Hospital, Khubash General Hospital, Eradah Complex and Mental Health Hospital. The home medical services are provided by 14 teams to the targeted categories in the region.
It pointed out that the Home Health Care Department has provided several medical supplies to patients, including beds, air mattresses, electronic blood pressure monitors, oxygen generators, blood glucose meters, toilet chairs, shower chairs and respiratory support devices, benefiting 78 patients registered with the program. 3,650 patients are enrolled in the program since it was launched, added the Affairs.
It is noteworthy that the program has launched several quality initiatives, benefiting 5,537 patients. The initiatives include medical screening for patients at their homes, dental services, raising the awareness of patients and their families about the importance of prevention of COVIC-19 infection, providing them with sanitizers, medicines and supplies delivery, sterilizing their homes and a visit by an internist on a regular basis.
