MOH Celebrates World Patient Safety Day

​In conjunction with the World Patient Safety Day 2020, which is observed this year under the theme “Health Worker Safety”, the Ministry of Health (MOH) organizes a number of virtual and other activities. The activities aim to enhance the global understanding of health worker safety, to intensify the public engagement in the safety of healthcare, to promote global measures to improve the safety of health workers and to protect them from harm.​

The objectives of World Patient Safety Day 2020 include raising global awareness about the importance of health worker safety and its interlinkages with patient safety, engaging multiple stakeholders and adopt multimodal strategies to improve the safety of health workers and patients. They also include implementing urgent and sustainable actions by all stakeholders which recognize and invest in the safety of health workers, as a priority for patient safety and providing due recognition of health workers’ dedication and hard work, particularly amid the current fight against COVID-19.
