According to Najran Health Affairs, the Endocrine Glands and Diabetes Center of King Khaled Hospital, during the first half of this year, has provided its services to 3,405 patients amid implementation of the preventive measure to curb the spread of COVID-19.
During the same period, virtual clinics have provided consulting services to 2,404 patients via a WhatsApp number. The beneficiaries of the services include diabetes and glands patients, as well as additional services such as: diabetic foot, eyes and nutrition clinics, said the affairs.
It pointed that 4,758 patients with diabetes have benefited from medication delivery service through «Makaffi» initiative launched recently by the Affairs.
It is to be noted that the center has activated Wasfaty (My Prescription) service, through which medicines can be dispensed from private pharmacies, as well as blood collection service. The center has been enhanced with a number of medical staff to improve the therapeutic and consulting services; thus providing a better service to patients and visitors.
