The Ministry of Health (MOH) has assigned a Health Leader to each group of pilgrims (totaling 50); to ensure that all health requirements are met and the physical distancing between pilgrims is applied, as well as managing their movements and accompanying them while performing their hajj rituals. The health leader also provides pilgrims with educational messages and health guidelines necessary for them.
It is worth mentioning that that the health leader is a qualified health practitioner, who will conduct visual triage, fill out the Follow-up Precautionary Form inside the pilgrims’ bus, monitor the pilgrims’ commitment to preventive and precautionary measures (e.g. using face masks, washing and sterilizing hands, and keeping physical distancing), in addition to reporting any suspected cases.
