18 July 2020

Al-Qassim Health Cluster has launched remote programming of cochlear implants initiative at Al-Ras General Hospital for patients who have follow-up appointments at hospitals outside the region. The initiative aims at helping the beneficiaries to get the health services easily as a part of the cluster’s efforts to maintain their health and to implement the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as reducing transport and travel costs borne by patients and their families.

It is noteworthy that this service is provided at the audiology clinic by hearing and speech therapist and ENT specialist, in coordination with the treating hospital. The patient can request the remote programming from the center where the cochlear implant has been conducted. Also, they can program their devices by calling 0503292548 to coordinate between the implant hospital and the audiology clinic.
