MOH Launches Awareness Campaign on Obesity and Chronic Diseases

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), people with chronic diseases and obesity are at higher risk of coronavirus complications. In its efforts to raise their awareness of the importance of implementing the preventive instructions and following up the treatment plan with their doctors, MOH has launched an awareness campaign targeting patients with chronic diseases and obesity. The campaign included many tips for patients with chronic diseases such as: washing hands or sanitizing them frequently, adhering to the treatment plan and wearing a face mask. Also, the campaign advised obesity patients to eating healthy and balanced diet, exercising frequently, wearing face mask, washing or sanitizing hands.  The campaign advised them all to download “Seha” app and consult doctors when needed. 


It is noteworthy that the following associations participate in the campaign: Saudi Charitable Association of Diabetes, Prince Fahad bin Salman Charity Association for Renal Failure Patients Care (Kellana), Saudi Cancer Society, Kayl association for Combating Obesity, Saudi Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society and Saudi Heart Association.
