Riyadh Health Affairs has supported Afif General Hospital with a number of medical staff, including an elite of Saudi doctors, specialized in neuropsychiatry, general surgery and endoscopy and maxillofacial surgery, as well as technicians in nursing, emergency medicine and laboratories. Such move aims to enhance the hospital capacity to fight the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to help expanding the surgical operations and the medical services in general.
Such step comes in line with the “Visiting Doctor” program, which has positively contributed to improving the services for beneficiaries during the first half of the current year. The program has greatly reduced the number of referrals to the specialized hospitals, as one of its main objectives. Also, during the same period, a number of regular and virtual clinics in various specialties were launched, including (brain and nerve, internal, surgery, heart, urology, pediatric, and ENT clinics). Work is also underway to improve the level of medical service in the dental clinic complex, which was operated early this year, by attracting specialized medical staff in order meet the needs of the beneficiaries.
