Jazan Health Affairs General Directorate will launch tomorrow (Sunday) a blood donation campaign under the theme: «Give Blood and Make the World a Healthier Place». The campaign, which comes on the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day, will last for seven days (from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.).
The campaign aims to spread the culture of blood donation in society, preserve the public health, and promote the humanitarian initiatives that contribute to saving human lives.
It is worth mentioning that the World Blood Donor Day aims to celebrate and thank individuals who donate blood and to encourage those who have not yet donated blood to start donating. Also, the Day aims to highlight the need for committed, year-round blood donation, to maintain adequate supplies and achieve universal and timely access to safe blood transfusion.
