According to Najran Health Affairs, the medical teams of its affiliated hospitals and healthcare centers have successfully performed 2,472 surgeries, in conjunction with its precautionary measures to control the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) from the beginning of January until the end of April.
The surgeries featured 19 open-heart, 269 bone and spine, 122 reconstructive burn and plastic, 58 various surgical oncology, 72 urology, 107 ENT, 21 pediatric, 44 neurology, 10 vascular, 237 general surgeries, and 1,122 birth cases and gynecologic surgeries.
Over the same period, the hospitals have performed 490 cardiac catheterizations (including 286 diagnostic catheters), 454 gastroscopies, in addition to 6,161 dialysis sessions.
