East Jeddah Hospital Provides Quality Services to Patients

In line with the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), East Jeddah Hospital is launching a number of initiatives to serve its patients and beneficiaries.

The hospital’s radiology department has launched a service to deliver x-rays results to patients instead of having them come in person to the hospital. The beneficiaries of the service amounted to 30, and the number is expected to increase by calling a special number.

Also, the patient experience department has launched a service to enable patients to check the results of the conducted COVID-19 tests by calling a special WhatsApp number. The service, which benefited around 500 persons, is regarded as strictly confidential. 

The pharmaceutical care department has also launched medication home delivery service. Around 5,218 beneficiaries have received medications at their homes. The service is provided in partnership with the healthcare centers to benefit neighborhoods adjacent to the centers. 

Patients of the dentistry and dermatology departments can also inquire or seek advice by calling special WhatsApp numbers. The hospital’s initiatives come in line with MOH’s directives.  

In the same vein, the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) department has launched a quality service for mothers of newborns admitted to the unit. The mothers can communicate with doctors via Zoom’s video calling. Also, mothers who have inquiries or want to check on their babies can call a special number.
