MOH Advices People to Eat Complex Carbohydrates in Ramadan
07 May 2020

In continuation to its efforts and awareness messages, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has provided a number of health tips on the holy month of Ramadan, as part of its awareness campaign «Fast Healthy», launched in collaboration with SABIC Company. Through an awareness infographic published on its awareness platform: «Live Well» and its Twitter page, MOH has advised all members of the society to significantly distribute their food intake into three separate meals: (breakfast, snack, and suhoor). Also, MOH has advised people to eat complex carbohydrates, such as: brown bread and brown rice; because the body can easily absorb them slowly, and keep them at a blood sugar level.

Besides, MOH has recommended everyone to eat proteins, such as: meat, eggs, and dairy products; because they are essential for building and regenerating cells, as well as giving the feeling of satiety for a longer time.
