According to Jazan Health Affairs, the number of beds allocated for patients with renal failure in Jazan is 351 dialysis beds. These beds are distributed over 14 dialysis centers throughout Jazan provinces, eight of which are directly affiliated to the Ministry of Health (MOH), while the other six centers are within the Dialysis Service Purchase Project. Most patients with renal failure in the region (totaling 1,153 patients) perform hemodialysis through the blood purification system in dialysis centers by experienced specialists, and under full medical supervision.
Besides, more than 40 patients can perform peritoneal dialysis at home. Over the past year, 29 patients underwent kidney transplant surgery outside the region, after they were followed up and prepared before traveling.
