King Fahad Central Hospital- Jazan has announced the start of medication home delivery service, which was initiated by the Saudi Post in cooperation with the hospital’s pharmacy department. The service comes as a part of the precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. Upon a call from a patient, the pharmacy department verifies the prescription, making sure it is the right drug, doses and refill date. On the next day the medicines will be taken by the Saudi Post’s agent and deliver to the patients’ home address.
The Saudi Post has well equipped vehicles to transport the medicines properly and safely including storage of medicines, specially the frozen medicines.
For the patients who are not included in the medication home delivery service, a place was set up outside the hospital for them to drive through and get the medicines they have requested, without the need to enter the hospital.
