Coronavirus Follow-up Committee Holds its 21st Meeting

​The committee concerned with following up on the status of the novel coronavirus held its 21st meeting, today (Wednesday), under the chairmanship of the Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah and the attendance of the committee's members representing a number of relevant government sectors. The committee reviewed all reports and latest developments, the epidemiological situation of the virus worldwide and the cases recorded in the Kingdom, as well as enhancing the precautionary measures implemented at points of entry. The committee checked on the conditions of COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom and the health services provided to them.

MOH's spokesperson, Dr. Muhammad al-Abdulaali described as untrue what has been circulated that there are 600 COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom. He called on everyone living in infected areas to contact the 937 Service Center to get the tips that protect him, his family and community in general. 

He underlined the importance of contacting the Center for any inquiry about COVID-19, and obtaining information from reliable sources and avoiding succumbing to rumors. He called on everyone to back the efforts exerted to contain the virus and shoulder their humanitarian and national responsibility to curb its spread.
