According to Hafr Al-Batin Health Affairs, the emergency department of King Khaled Hospital is currently witnessing the implementation of a number of projects. The department’s bed capacity has been increased by 26 well-equipped beds to handle all accidents and critical cases. Also, the department has been enhanced with all necessary devices, including the Pneumatic Tube System to transport specimens to the laboratory and other departments, as well as the PACS (picture archiving and communication system), and establishment of intermediate care section with a capacity of seven beds. The Affairs confirmed that the developmental projects aim to improve the work environment and quality of the provided services and to boost satisfaction with the hospital's services.
