According to Madinah Health Affairs, over the past year (2019), the School Field Visits Program has targeted the screening of 46,442 students, and implemented 39,910 screenings (with a completion rate of 85.93%) through 42 internal and external health complexes at 650 schools activating the program.
“The program has referred 7,975 cases to healthcare centers, with 3,049 cases of impaired visual acuity, 2,121 dental caries, and 1,896 Body Mass Index (BMI), 885 medical history follow-up, 6 depression, and 18 cases of Hyperlordosis (excessive spine curvature),” stated the Affairs.
It is worth mentioning that all these cases have been referred to healthcare centers, in preparation for referring to hospitals to receive necessary health services and complete proper treatment.
